Nearly midnight back in Cincinnati and we're just starting the second half. Why must every major American sport be run on the Springtime for Hitler model?

Arizona playing some remarkably stupid ball in the final minutes.

While the East Coast slept, Xavier scored the final 10 points of the game. They ran a nice play for the winning bucket, lobbing it into their big man. Then the Wildcats missed three decent shots to tie it.

I stayed up until 1 in the morning watching Sean Miller and his giant head lose yet again in March with superior talent. I regret nothing.

On the one hand, good for Xavier. Either them or Gonzaga will be in the Final Four for the first time.

On the other hand, Sean Miller is entering Lefty Driesell/Gene Keady/Norm Stewart territory as the best coach to never make a Final Four.

I went to sleep with the TV on, knowing that I would wake up to discover that Arizona had blown its lead.

On the bright side, I missed 238 commercials and 12 timeouts before that interesting ending.

    So there's that.

And Arizona could not have produced an offensive rebound at gunpoint.
