Gotta love the robotic, we'll-only-change-a-few-words Gannett job postings. That's how you end up looking for someone to produce "watchdog journalism that leads to change" on a racin' beat.

That said, this is quite the unique position. Won't find another paper in the country with an IndyCar beat writer.

Gannett's new tracking system is a lot easier to fill out than the old one, but it doesn't ask as many questions. I mainly wonder if the resumes are getting to the right people when they apply. Doesn't even let you leave a cover letter or clips, just your resume.

With the Gannett deal w/ Resume, what I do is submit a file that has my CV, resume and Clips under the same file....so it's say, 4-5 pages instead of 1.

    Do it steveu, do it!
What stinks is I have almost zero video clips and photography clips/profiles/websites. I know how to use an iPhone to shoot video, plus I have edited and shot video back in my TV Intern days w/ KGTV in San Diego, back in the 'olden days' of the early 2000s. But I could just shoot freelance video if I can and send stuff that way.
