So he would have been 50 today.

    What's your favorite Nirvana song?

Anyone here see them in concert?

What do you think Kurt -- or Nirvana -- would be like in 2017?

My favorite Nirvana song ... such a killer opening riff.

Thread would be better with Dickie W. around, but I'll go with the Meat Puppets covers from Unplugged.

Probably All Apologies. Never saw them, saw Foo Fighters, they were very good.

Yeah, my favorites are probably Lake of Fire, Polly and On A Plain.

"Heart-Shaped Box" or the studio version of "All Apologies."

I think if Cobain made it 6 more months, he probably would have been OK. But that was the problem.

I saw a student in a Nirvana shirt and realized that that would have been the equivalent of me wearing a Beatles shirt in HS. Maybe this is for the "thins that make me feel old".

I guess I'll be that guy: I enjoy their music and all, but Nirvana is WAY overrated.

Not a huge fan (love the Foo Fighters, though) but the version of "Aneurysm" on From the Muddy Banks of the Wishkah kicks all sorts of ass.

    Best song = Polly

Had Cobain not killed himself, I'm not sure 'Nirvana' would've remained intact. Few bands stay together very long.
    Maybe.
I'm a fan of the music, but I can't claim any insight into him or the others in the band.

"Polly" is a converted cover of The Vaselines "Molly's Lips."

    Best song: Heart-Shaped Box

    A converted cover?
What do the songs have in common?
