    Capriati got in.

For Capriati, this was high point

Cash, no way. But Chang, who was something of a flash in the pan, got in.

Will be at least one American in the finals. Venus vs. CoCo in one semifinal, while Serena will play to join them in the other half.

Only because of those unfair and ridiculous sanactions against Sharapova.

Jeez didn't realize that. Chang? Great moment in 1989 beating Lendl underhanded and an "ambassador" but HOF?

Its obvious but in tennis the HOF is so different than Canton and Cooperstown. Could it be that with the dominance by people like Laver/Graf/Navratilova/Evert/Connors/Sampras there weren't many majors available and one is special?

Then they should create a Hall of Very Good for the rest and leave the Hall of Fame for the dominant players.

Serena's changed, at least according to our friends in Canuckistan.

Look at it this way. For a period of his career Chang was a top 5 player. Now, think about the NBA or NFL or MLB. Can you conceive of a player who spent part of his career among the top 5 among his peers not being a Hall of Famer? Now there are the occasional exceptions (Marcelo Rios), but then you throw in Chang's 34 ATP titles and long tenure (16 years) as a top player, and he seems like a solid HOF pick.

How many full years was he a top 5 player? Three?

He ended the season ranked 6 or higher six times. Spent 369 weeks in top 10 and 121 weeks between 11-20.

Nadal takes out third seed Raonic in straight sets. Are we looking at Roger vs. Rafa in a back-to-the-future final?

Gotta tell ya, I'm pretty pumped about that prospect.

    That'd be pretty cool.

I don't see Roger beating his countryman to get there, but one never knows.
