If Simpson wasn't offered the inaugural gig, neither Trump nor his peeps were watching. He brought it.

On the other hand, I found it to be two great times to grab a late-night snack.

Last night's old-school episode at 10:00 was Carrie Fisher with the Blues Brothers. Nice tribute to pick that one to air.

I hope Trump doesn't tweet out how much tonight's episode sucks, thus forcing me to agree with him.

Oh man, Cecily. No. Sasheer Zamata, not you, too.

    Stop.

I thought Aziz was one of the better episodes of the season. His monologue was great (much like Chapelle's in November), and there weren't really any lemons of a sketch, though the cold open struggled a bit.

However, I can understand those who may have been turned off by the Obama tribute at the end.

I agree Obama was worthy of a tribute, but that was sooooo dumb.

They did a tribute to an outgoing president?
Not a good-natured lampooning but a real tribute?

    That is terrible.
SNL is supposed to iconoclastic. The show should be mocking power, not paying tribute to it.
    They should hang it up.
