In no way am I saying the way we're doing it is perfect. But this is really the first gripe in 10 years, and the fact that it came from an assistant coach in a public forum (when we posted it on our Facebook page) kind of bothered me. And the fact that he would belittle the extra player we added (saying he got a "participation trophy" over his own quarterback) is just bush league. Got a complaint as a coach? Bring it to me.

Dad was trespassing and clearly looking for a fight. ASE was within his rights of self defense.

Self-defense? By opening the locked doors that were between the ASE and the intruder, allowing access?

Don't quit your day job to take up lawyering.

Your handle is "Burns When I Pee"

Also, ASE was not fired, just warned by our publisher.

Because our publisher didn't like the physical confrontation and thought he should have explored an alternative means instead of taking matters into his own hands. But it's water under the bridge now

You said the ASE opened the locked doors, jumped on him and pounded out 6-7 punches to his face. That's assault in every facet of the word.

If the guy was trespassing, call the cops. The ASE opened the door and threw a barage of punches. That doesn't sound like self defense.

His first mistake was engaging these idiots. You can't be so thin skinned in this business that you challenge anybody who criticizes your work to a fistfight.

This self-defense notion is about the most ridiculous thing on here.

Well, it's No. 2. Behind the notion that this actually happened.

Like I said, it is self defense
