Actually one of the most suitable of Trump's appointments to date. Extensive business background, albeit an odd business, plus some political experience as candidate for office. If she ran some boring chemical or office supply company instead of WWE, would fit in any Republican administration.

That's ironic, seeing that her company drove out of business numerous small wrestling companies. (Which would have happened anyways by someone due to the proliferation of cable, but they're the ones that did it.)

That should read "plus some experience blowing through her husband's money in a doomed cause."

They also have much in common, such as bankruptcies.

    Try multiple doomed causes.

A Sugar Ray Leonard fight. The World Bodybuilding Federation. The XFL. Heck, her husband was one of the main promoters in Evel Knievel's failed jump over the Snake River.

Wrestling's really been the one thing they've been successful at. And even then, it was a business started by his father who he bought out and grew into a powerful entity thanks to having the advantage of the New York market, which his father had owned for decades in the pre-cable era because the promoters had colluded in agreeing not to infringe on each other's territories.

Just as the head of the EPA will be a hero to them for failing to protect the environment. Just as the Secretary of Education will be a hero for ruining education.

The idea that Jeff Pearlman thinks you can't be a Christian and a Trump voter:

Remind me again what the punishment should be for folks who start/share fake news.

    Banned from twitter?

If you work for a mainstream news organization, you surely have to get fired, right?

Re: Carson and HUD and the Johns Hopkins Hospital. Many folks here been to East Baltimore?

Hopkins has been aiding the surrounding communities for decades. When I was a research assistant over there (had to trek from the Homewood Campus to the East Baltimore JHMI units), you could see boarded up and/or burned out rowhouses within sight of the Hospital. Hopkins has improved those neighborhoods, has tutoring programs for school kids, and has billets to get folks admitted into the University.

Carson has to be aware of what Hopkins has done and continues to do. So, I wouldn't say he has zero background.

Care to share the tweets immediately before and after that one, which gave your quoted one context?
