No. She's rough around the edges and bluesy and subtly aggressive.

I think the male equivalent of Liz Phair may be Evan Dando of The Lemonheads. Started strong, petered out, rated little higher than deserved because of their looks.

Tupac Shakur-perhaps some other hall of fame, but not this one.
Pearl Jam-not my cup of tea, but yes
    Journey-a thousand times yes
    Depeche Mode-no
    Jane's Addiction-no
    ELO-e l no
    Joan Baez-yes. Just because.
    Bad Brains-who?
    Steppenwolf-yes
The Cars-yes. Only wish Benjamin Orr could have seen it.
    Chaka Khan-no
    Chic-who
    J. Geils Band-no, but had to think about it
    Yes-Yes
    The Zombies-Yes
    Janet Jackson-no

And Yankovic would have been an easy "yes" for me.

I'd have to lose some weight but I really want to wear this suit Bowie had.

Black Keys blow the White Stripes out of the water, IMHO. Fans of both, but White Stripes were a phase. Black Keys have stamina. Never get sick of them. Everlasting Light is almost always the first song I play on the jukebox.

Oasis better than the White Stripes? For Rock? Eessh. They're so damn vanilla to me.

Would Bush be the male equivalent of Liz Phair?
