Sheldon is a better QB than Tannehill.

Is there a reason the NFL not only kept the color rush concept this season, but expanded upon it? Was there any positive reaction to these horrendous unis at all? Does anyone like them?

Thought the Bengals unis would have been cool yesterday if they'd let them go with white/black helmets, too. With orange/black it just looked weird.

It's like practically every Roger Goodell move - giving the people what they don't ask for

    • 18 game season
    • Expanded playoffs
    • Color rush unis
    • Pinktober
    • Camovember

Neat little piece from NFL Network about how one second-quarter fumble in a meaningless Week 17 game in 2005 changed the NFL for a decade. It focuses on Brees and Rivers, the Chargers and the Saints, but it really had so many ripple effects across the league that it's crazy.
If not for this play, the Saints probably leave New Orleans and the Chargers stay in San Diego; Peyton Manning might have never won a Super Bowl with the Colts; the Chargers might have won at least one Super Bowl, making Marty Schottenheimer a hall of famer; Phillip Rivers might have wasted away on the bench or been traded instead of becoming a good NFL starter for a decade; and Nick Saban might have stayed in Miami for at least one more season and Alabama remains stuck in mediocrity instead of becoming a college football dynasty.

Facebook video that's doing silly things when I try to embed it. Please forgive me:

Speaking of Goodell moves (although this may be more of a rules committee move), can we just go back to a catch being when a receiver possesses the ball with two feet (or another body part) down in bounds? Holy Christ this has gotten ridiculous.

Can't believe they didn't run Gore on fourth-and-less-than-1 with the game on the line.
