Franchise-record 14-game winning streak for the Indians. Francona won't even need that inevitable Indians World Series title for Hall of Fame induction.

Crazy talk. Dungy went to a ready-made situation where he'd contend as long as his QB was upright. Dungy did nothing--nothing--in Indy, other than wait for the law of averages to even out and for Peyton to find a Super Bowl matchup he couldn't screw up (hello Rex Grossman)

Francona left a massive spending team for one that finds the 99 cent store too expensive. If he wins the World Series in Cleveland, he should be in the Hall of Fame before the parade starts.

Being a bit behind the curve, Cleveland sports talk radio finally discussing Francona's HOF candidacy this morning. Answer = a resounding yes.

Francona one step closer to HOF as Indians win AL Central.

If the Indians win, he's in. If the Cubs win, Theo's in.

An Indians-Cubs World Series might create a singularity that destroys the universe.

Hate to tell ya but both Francona and Epstein are going to get in regardless. The Hall of Fame case that gets most affected by a title this year is Dusty Baker

Shoot, if guys are getting in for the way managed single games in this postseason, Dave Roberts already made it three times.

Lindor's the only Indians player with a chance to make the HOF. How many WS winners have there been where only the manager made HOF?

    1984 Tigers -- Sparky Anderson
    1981 Dodgers -- Tommy Lasorda

    Any others?
