Can't the White Sox hold a goddamn lead when the Royals need the Tigers to lose?

That's why I consider the White Sox easy wins.

Thanks to the Red Sox bullpen, I've rediscovered prayer.

Too lazy/depressing to look up ... but the White Sox bullpen has blown AT LEAST a dozen leads this year (I realize the teams were tied today when Verlander and Sale left the game).

Sort of surprised Odor didn't wear one at any point in the Rangers shellacking of the Mariners.

Wasn't there a year in the early aughts when Randy Johnson pitched 1- and 2-hitters or 8 innings of excellence only to lose 1-0 a bunch of times?

    In '99 he had a five-game stretch when he was 0-4 with a 1.13 ERA in 40 innings. The D-backs lost 1-0 (Jimenez's no-hitter), 2-0, 1-0, 2-0 and 3-2.

Giants held on to win but Segura had a great 9-pitch at bat to reach, which brought up the tying run.

I was at one of those games. He struck out 17 or 18 Reds and lost.
