This is less cruel.

 

Nah, it's part of the culture, the Vikings season ending badly. It's expected, the highs and the eventual low.

This starts it off badly, depriving Viking fans of that feeling of almost getting to the promised land, only to go down in flames.

Dashing hopes this soon is more cruel.
