    Aw man. Northeast Iowa lost an icon. Well known throughout not only Waterloo and Cedar Falls, but probably the entire state. RIP.

    Shit. Worked with him in passing about a million years ago, and he was a good man, helping me out when he had no reason to. A true professional.

    Damn. Literally died at his desk after finishing off the sports section. Horrible news.

    Pretty sure I crossed paths with him and his colleagues years ago at a playoff game in the UNI-Dome. RIP to a class act.
