Nine in a row for the Royals.

"Just" have to go 25-12 now to hit 90.

Again, I do not expect KC to get a Wild Card but September could be damned exciting if they go 6-3 in this stretch of Marlins/BoSox/Yankees. Lots of Twins and White Sox games await.

Yeah, he was lights out. Couple more of those and, even with the mid season struggles, he may be chasing more hardware.

The White Sox have been playing pretty well, though.

Bakersfield was never the same after Reno Hightower.

But at least it was close to Tahoe.

It's crazy that the Dodgers are in first place. They have put 27 players on the diasabled list, including seven starting pitchers, and seem to be into the bullpen by the fourth inning every game.

The offense has really come through, while the Giants collapse has been epic.

This feels a bit like 1988, when LA rode Orel Hershiser and a group of misfit to a World Series victory.

Their rookies are going nuts too. Last night they had two home runs from players I had never heard of (Segedin and Toles).

The Giants can't do anything right. They've struggled through August and been at about the same point in the standings in all of their championship years, but this feels different.

Kershaw supposedly aiming for a mid-September return too.

227 mil is pretty costly for this band of misfits.
