Both title matches are set for SummerFest. Dolph vs. Ambrose for the WWE title, Rollins vs. Finn for the Universal belt. Actually looking forward to both.

Smackdown started off well, the middle sucked and dragged on way too long -- but the ending was pretty damn good.

She actually would get in some offense, and she did get a win over, if I remember correctly, Carmella, so no.

I wouldnt have blamed Becky if she heaved herself out of the ring head first upon seeing what she's supposed to make chicken salad with for the forsee able future. That was a trainwreck. Made worse by what Sasha Banks pulled off Sunday and Monday.

How long before Smackdown can end without Daniel Bryans music? Isn't Smackdown the show that's putting the Superstars first? Pet peeve but get him out of here and let Ziggler have a momnet like they did on Raw with Balor and Banks.

They're going for that cheap pop!

Surprised they are bringing back Rhyno. Simply because I think if you have Roman Reigns and Rhyno on the same roster, you realize that Reigns is nothing more than a fancy Rhyno

So they have Dolph job to Corbin for months now, and then they put him in one of the SummerSlam main events with a clean pin over AJ Styles, who has been one of their hottest stars with the fans the last few months? That's some quality booking right there.

Styles has to have one more singles match with Cena, right?
Figuring that; and they didn't want to have Corbin or Crews take it; Cena wasn't eating it; and maybe they're building Wyatt back up, it kind of makes sense if they were going to have Ziggler win. Styles is over enough right now that it won't kill him.

And he sold that super kick like a damn boss -- no disrespect to Sasha, of course.

Styles being pinned on back to back shows where he's in a match with other jabroni's that can take the pin makes very little sense. I don't want to be a picky smarky backseat booker but it's really puzzling.

ADR must really be on his way out too if they didn't put him in that six pack. He should be one of the biggest stars on that brand.

And Rhyno? No room on the show for Jordan/Gable. No room in the company for Sandow or Rhodes. But Rhyno.

    Cool then.

As David Shoemaker wrote in his piece today on The Ringer, it almost feels like they just hit RESET on everything before the draft, with how Battleground, Raw and Smackdown played out. It was just old school promos and jobber matches, and for the most part, guys with the best in-ring ability or looks got clean wins. Maybe it was just a one week thing, but it felt way more like how Triple H books NXT than how Vince / Stephanie / whoever has been booking Raw the past few years.

The weakness of the division on Smackdown makes me think that Bayley will be up sooner rather than later. Maybe you put the belt on Becky, and she manages to have a blow-off feud with Natalya, and then maybe a feud with Eva Marie just because you know Eva Marie will get nuclear bad heat. From there, Bayley is up and you have more of a legitimate division.
