Passan basically says the Royals would love it, but it won't happen.

    Which sounds about right.

Yankees recall Luis Severino, who failed miserably at the start of the season, but has pitched well at Triple-A. If he can pitch like he did late last year, he can be a big boost.

Eye-opening note from Sarah Langs, of ESPN Stats & Info: Aroldis Chapman hasn't allowed a run vs. the Cardinals in almost 5 years. That's 25 straight scoreless appearances, 46 K's.

Yeah, that just doesn't make sense for the Nationals.

That's what happens when three of your rotation pieces tear elbow ligaments and you have a really bad farm system: You really have no choice but to keep pitching him and hope it gets better.

The Astros are 1-9 against the Rangers, which is why the Astros are in seecond place.

Orioles have runners at 1st and 3rd in the 10th, one out. Machado pounds one into the ground at home plate. Rockies pitcher fumbles it. Jones charges home from third. Can't beat the throw. But the catcher bobbles and drops it. Orioles win.

Songbird, THAT was a lucky win.

Yankees finally beat Keuchel, albeit in an an unimpressive 2-1 win.
