You're supposed to be joyful on a day dedicated to the memory of members of the military killed in action?

I've always thought the Memorial Day sales and festivities completely make a mockery of the day's true intent.

How do you figure that Trump is a pragmatist? His does nothing but promote himself and his brand and tell people whatever they want to hear so that he can get what he wants.

Trump finally gets held accountable for his fictitious charity donations and spends the entire time whining about the mean 'ole media.

It's a good question and a point well taken. There is certainly no joy in the solemn honor
phase of a typical Memorial Day event but many make the case that the parade portion of the
day is a celebration of life made possible by those who died for their country.

And looks like Hillary also found some joy in the day :

One reason these attacks about Trump's "shady" business practices don't really move the needle is that the general public seems to have pretty much decided that both candidates have the whiff of corruption about them. That's also why the attacks on misogyny don't really register, because of who her husband is.

America is loving it some Trump these days. Hard to see what he could possibly do to turn off voters. He seems Teflon at this point.

That guy behind her on the left bears a resemblance to Brian Baumgartner from The Office.
