JournalismJobs.com - Job Listing - Seeking Assistant Sports Editor

    Description:

The Kennebec Journal and Morning Sentinel newspapers seek an Assistant Sports Editor to help lead a nationally recognized and award-winning sports department. The ability to write sports stories and participate with in-depth story projects is key, as is performing well under deadline, balancing priorities and communicating effectively with staff. The ideal candidate is organized, can slide into the slot and can also lay out pages on a tight deadline. We are looking for someone with a strong digital understanding who is proficient in blogging, social media and even occasional video work. Experience with InDesign and InCopy is a plus, and experience at a daily newspaper and as a page designer is a must. Please email a cover letter, resume and any relevant story clips or page designs to Sports Editor Bill Stewart: bstewart@centralmaine.com
