Last time teammates had hitting streaks of at least 23 games in the same season.

    Bogarts and Jackie Baseball.

As of yesterday, they had the best run differential through 48 games in the divisional era.

Cubs' Hammel gives up a dropped fly ball single in the first, leaves with a cramp after two. Bullpen throws seven perfect innings to complete the one-hitter.

You're aware of the concept of qualifiers, yes? 1 IP per team game.

Also, if Eck was really walking 18 batters for every one he struck out, I think Tony would have taken him out of the closer's role.

I don't think Kershaw is pitching around anybody. There's not a hitter on this planet right now that he does not expect to get out.

And yet his manager decided to use Adam Liberatore to get out of the 8th inning last night instead of Kershaw. That might be the worst move ever by a Dodgers manager, and that's a team that hired Grady Little AFTER the 2003 ALCS.

And includes some winners by my favortie player ever, Donnie Baseball.

On the subject, what's with this Jackie Baseball crap? Can the man get his own nickname please?
