Katie Couric's pregnant ... pause

This should destroy any credibility she has as a journalist, right?
Katie Couric is making a documentary about the gun issue, and interviews a member of a gun rights group. One of her questions appears to stump him, and there's eight seconds of dead air before the guy answers.
Only problem is, someone got hold of the actual audio and the long pause was edited in. Even worse, the documentary's director admits it and tries to pass it off as some sort of artistic decision.

The question, remarkably, was, "What newspapers do you read?"

    Geez, that's stupid.

Silver lining, I don't know that she has any credibility left in the first place.

You mean you don't go to Yahoo for your news broadcasts?

She doesn't know how to use quotation marks properly. Until you get that down, you're nobody ...

I want to like this, but competition and all.

    1. If that is the worst the pro-gun folks can find to complain about, it must be pretty fair.
    2. It's hard to tell if the pause is meant to show that the people are stumped or not. If it shows them with wide eyes, scratching their chins, that's one thing. If the camera is on something else, it doesn't really bother me.
    3. You want your views to presented exactly how you want them presented, make your own documentary.
    4. Do people care about credibility in journalism any more?
