    Digital Media Assistant (Part-Time) - Tampa Bay Lightning (Tampa, FL)


    Job Summary

    The role of Digital Media Assistant will be to handle web site updates, content posts, and contribute to social media activities, and digital marketing efforts as it relates to the Lightning, Storm and Amalie Arena. Reporting to the Digital Media manager, this position will handle site updates on a day-to-day basis including before/during/after games and events.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Responsible for performing day-to-day site content production and posts utilizing the site Content Management System (CMS) and third-party systems. This involves team and game coverage, marketing communications support of ticket sales initiatives.
    • Collaborating and communicating with digital content teams, PR, social media and graphic designers.
    • Monitor web traffic and site technical performance.
    • Communicating recommendations for technical needs of site to management.
    • Assist with production of broadcast audio and video features and highlights.
    • Provide general office task assistance, including but not limited to, the creation of necessary calendars, recaps, reports, spreadsheets, creative requests, PTU’s, and purchase orders.
    Qualifications

    • 1-2 years of experience in the operation of a website with a robust CMS
    • Knowledge of development and maintenance of complex Web sites, cross-browser and platform compatibility
    • Ability to handle a variety of multiple changing priorities in a dynamic environment
    • Experience with interactive design and development software and markup including HTML and Photoshop
    • Knowledge of SEO and SEM principles
    • Experience in editorial writing and team coverage, photography, and video production is desirable, but not required
    • Must be motivated, reliable, and able to work in a fast-paced environment, including nights and weekends
