At this point I don't see the folks in the Big 12 agreeing on whether or not to expand or which teams to invite if they do so.

Some people are convinced they need 12. Others are convinced it's not worth it. Neither UCF or Cincy is going to be enough to convince ESPN and Fox to shell out enough money. As the grant of rights nears expiration Oklahoma is going to want to join the SEC. Kansas will see little choice but to go to the Big Ten. Neither one is going to feel the political pressure to stay with the States they did last time around.

Would the Big 10 take Kansas?

If the presidents stick to their guns about only wanting to invite geographically contiguous AAU members, Kansas is on a very short list of schools that fits if the Big Ten ever wants to expand again. That's especially true if they can't raid the ACC.

I would also think KU basketball adds a little value to the Big Ten Network.

Yeah, but KU football is a boat anchor tied to the league's ankle.

You think Ohio State and Michigan want to invite a football team they actually have to worry about? :)

Honestly though, KU football will be OK in a few years and when it is OK its ratings and attendance is relatively good.

Football coaches, by and large, are full-time meatheads who continue to live life as high school and put off adulthood as long as they can. That they would have zero control over their impulses and emotions is not surprising at all.

Spent two whole years coaching receivers at Va. Tech before moving south.
