    "I Wish It Would Rain Down" by Phil Collins

    and

    "Rain On the Scarecrow" by John Mellencamp

    are my favorites.

    Holy crap, 'RDAM' totally slipped my mind -- in my mind maybe the Carpenters' best song.

    And yeah, it fits right in that 1968-71 "Golden Age of Rain" era.

    Loved "Lay Down / Candles" back then.

    Interesting point about Nicks doing a cover. Agree, right in her wheelhouse. They had so much material to work with, don't know they did covers. But would've been great.
