2016 MLB Regular-Season Thread

    Agreed. I went to the game Saturday, the second of a three-game sweep by the Mets. I spent more time just drinking and joking around with my friends than actually paying attention to the game. I used to be the guy annoying his friends by talking about every pitch.

    Though, to be fair, I was at the game in Atlanta that happened to be Glavine's first start there with the Mets. Fucking shelled. So maybe we're even.

    Aaron Nola threw one stinker, but otherwise he has been damn impressive. Roark matched him zero-for-zero today, but Nola struck out seven and gave up only two hits and a walk in seven shutout innings.

    That said, the Nats are only in the middle of the pack in offense. They should be better once Trea Turner arrives to push Espinosa to a utility role, but that most likely won't happen until June. If I understand correctly, they have to wait that long if they want him under control for another year because he spent part of 2015 with the team.
