Really interested in what you guys'll say.

Let it Bleed to Sticky Fingers, for me.

Off The Wall and Thriller are really goddamn close.

    What say you?

    Yes, I'm drunk.

Rubber Soul to Revolver is a pretty good 1-2 punch from the four lads from Liverpool.

A Night At The Opera, A Day At The Races (personally I'd say Races and News of the World)

Pretty easy for me: Sticky Fingers/Exile on Main Street.

    Also worth discussing: Rubber Soul/Revolver, Who's Next/Quadrophenia, Astral Weeks/Moondance.

Rubber Soul to Revolver to SPLHCB to White is a pretty good 1-2-3-4 sequence if you give Magical Mystery Tour an asterisk and don't consider it an "album" per se -- originally it was a 6-song double-EP backed by the band's assorted '67 singles.

But even those "assorted singles" included "Penny Lane"/"Strawberry Fields," so those were no throwaways either. Only a couple of filler duds on the MMT side pull THAT disc out of A+ territory.

    Probably would go:

    1. Who's Next/Quadrophenia
    2. Highway to Hell/Back in Black (degree of difficulty points for change of vocalists)
    3. Life's Rich Pageant/Document
    4. Houses of the Holy/Physical Graffiti
    5. Fleetwood Mac/Rumours

If it expands to 3 albums, AC/DC and Fleetwood fall off the list and would add in Tommy, Green and IV for the remaining three.

And if you stretch it to 4, my list would be two: Zeppelin from III to Graffiti, and the Stones from Beggar's to Exile.

Marvin Gaye - What's Going On/Let's Get It On (I'm cheating on this one by ignoring the soundtrack album released between these two)
Bonnie Raitt - Bonnie Raitt/Give It Up/Takin' My Time or Nick Of Time/Luck of the Draw

I'll second Astral Weeks/Moondance, although my two favorites after Moondance and also back to back are Tupelo Honey/Saint Dominic's Preview

Yeah, Stones was my first choice.,

Born To Run/Darkness on the Edge of Town would have to be in the mix too.
