Wasn't Festivus two months ago? This whole episode is like a belated birthday card.

It's over, by the way. Fry surrendered. Not sure if he's getting his pizza.

He has been arrested. It's over.

Except for the years of court cases and appeals.

That new WGN America show wishes this thing would've gone on for years. Could've just stolen plot lines from the headlines for years.

Glad Fry didn't talk himself into suicide by cop for some inflated sense of "patriotism."

Has CNN reported on this much? I've only seen a brief mention here and there. Otherwise, it's wall-to-wall election coverage on the network.

Maybe this incident wasn't that big a deal after all.

It wasn't, but it was an opportunity to paint anyone right of center as a wingnut, so some had to play it up.

C'mon, T! That's not fair. I don't think anyone right of center is a wingnut. I think EVERYONE right of center is a wingnut.

But if you think these people were reasonable folks invoking their first and second amendment rights, more power to you!

I read a story the other night in which one of the last holdouts (think it was Fry) declared they were just innocently "camping" at the refuge and not doing anything illegal. He later doubled down on stupid and declared the feds "need to get the hell out of Oregon."
    The dude is from Ohio.

Well, they kind of were wingnuts.
