New A.M. Sportscenter - it looks like yesterday's Deadspin

I can't really do it with SportsCenter any more. I'll watch Chris McKendry, because she's straightforward and kind of earnest. I'd watch Michelle Beadle if she did it, because she's so quick-minded and naturally personable she doesn't need to set up a joke for 57 seconds.

But most of these anchors - mostly men - just don't have much natural delivery to them. It's all a ham, or this 28-second narrative rap, or some blase point that they'd like to make profound. It's not sly or subtle anymore. You see the gears working.

 

I didn't see you at the 5-Nations Tournament in Plymouth. Slacker.
