Yeah, you'd think that would be one of the first questions asked.

Self preservation is instinctual. Or he thought his lineman had a better shot at it.

Could the Broncos have won that SB with Tebow? I'm thinking yes; this was the perfect type of Tebow game.

And you think none of those people has gotten crap for their behavior? They've all been pricks and they've been called on it, many, many times.

He should actually just get credited with the victory instead of Manning.

It's something I'd like to know, although I suspect I do know the answer even though he probably wouldn't admit it.

My guess is it was reflexive. That's what he should do in the regular season, because he's too important to get hurt. That reflex is what you see there, because he probably didn't have the time or the presence of mind to think, "Oh shit, this is the Super Bowl, I need to get that ball no matter what."

Edit: And, for the record, Peyton sure as shit isn't going for the ball in that same situation, either.

Yeah that's probably it on regular season.

As for Peyton, though ... not neck-in-danger Peyton. 26-year-old healthy Peyton? In a Super Bowl? I'd bet yes.
