    Never understood the attraction of ice fishing.

    Why spend all that time building a deluxe ice shack (complete with space heater and TV)? If you need to get away from the missus and like fish, head to the local bar, watch sports, drink some beer and order the fish and chips basket.

    In most stories of this sort in Michigan, either the state police or county sheriff department has to send out a marine unit to deal with vehicles sunk in the water, and in many cases, haul them out. That ain't cheap.
