Career sounds like the least of Manziel's problems.

EXCLUSIVE: Manziel's ex claims QB threatened to kill her, himself | WFAA.com

(And as a side note to the CBS Sports/aggregation discussion in the other thread -- I found the initial news report here, but I went through four links to get here, each one citing the previous link as the original.)

    This feels real.

Sources: Lynch telling people he intends to retire

Ian Rapoport noted the other day on radio (I don't know how he'd know this, but anyway) ... "Marshawn Lynch has a lot of money," Rapoport said. "He hasn't spent a dime of his actual playing money ... ever."

Marshawn Lynch reportedly hasn't spent a penny of the $49.7 million in salary he has made in his NFL career

And he has his post-retirement career already set.

Gronk says he has done the same.

Living on the per diem and endorsements. Maybe they are getting interest and cap gain returns.

Good for Lynch and Gronk being smart enough to hire the right people and following their advise. And maybe being disciplined enough not to buy everything they see

Von Miller gets the franchise tag. How much does Trevathan get in free agency?

Gronk also has two older brothers who played in the NFL. That probably helped too.

Multiple outlets in Philadelphia reporting LeSean "Bangbus" McCoy got into a fight with two undercover cops.

That sure was a fun year, Chip!

Steelers tight end Heath Miller retired. He is second in team history in receptions. Bigger loss that many will realize for that offense.

I've followed Heath since his days at UVa. He's always been a big part of Big Ben's ability to escape the pass rush and find a bailout target. Ben will probably miss him the most.

Roethlisberger has always raved about Miller, but the running backs will also miss him. Jesse James showed some potential as a rookie and may be able to fill some of Miller's role as a receiver, but he isn't even close as a blocker. Miller was a true tight end, not just a big wide receiver.
