    Agreed. There is absolutely no excuse for what Newton did on that play. He needed to be in there fighting for the ball.

    Somebody else already mentioned this, but I"ll add to the point.Autism jokes are bad enough from anybody, but even worse coming from somebody who claims to work in education. Just when I thought you couldn't show your ass on this thread any more tonight, you hit a new low.

    And let's be clear. Neither I nor JC ever said you can't look at team success when judging an individual player. It is lazy and inaccurate, however, to judge a quarterback solely on such criteria.
