I remain anxious to hear about all the great new programs Texas is going to put in place to take care of all the new babies born into poverty because abortion is wrong and Planned Parenthood is evil and Medicaid is a socialist plot.

If you had an IQ over 80 you would know the word is "eager," not "anxious." You also would have the ability to read and, thus, know that numerous links have already been posted.

If it's a new program in Texas to deal with people in poverty, I am indeed very anxious to hear about such a program.

"Anxious" as in wary, apprehensive, dubious and fearful.

But I guess picking a choosing facts to tell the story is OK.

    Planned Parenthood at a Glance

    Our Work
Planned Parenthood health centers focus on prevention: 80 percent of our clients receive services to prevent unintended pregnancy.

Planned Parenthood services help prevent approximately 516,000 unintended pregnancies each year.

Planned Parenthood provides nearly 400,000 Pap tests and nearly 500,000 breast exams each year, critical services in detecting cancer.

Planned Parenthood provides nearly 4.5 million tests and treatments for sexually transmitted infections, including 700,000 HIV tests.

Three percent of all Planned Parenthood health services are abortion services.

Planned Parenthood affiliates provide educational programs and outreach to 1.5 million young people and adults each year.

Planned Parenthood has eight million activists, supporters, and donors working for women's health and safety and our fundamental reproductive rights.

The "why can't these people go buy a condom" crap exemplifies the kind of attitude that leaves us with one of the highest childhood poverty rates in the industrialized world.
