Sports Writer - Mount Pleasant Daily Tribune

The Mount Pleasant Daily Tribune, an award-winning five-day daily newspaper in Northeast Texas, has an immediate opening for a sports writer. The sports writer is part of a three-person editorial team that covers Mount Pleasant, Titus County and surrounding communities. We produce fresh content daily for both our print edition and our website. We need someone who can crank out top-quality articles covering Mount Pleasant ISD athletics and manage a team of stringers who cover surrounding athletic departments. Sports reporting experience and solid photography skills required. Experience managing stringers/other reporters is preferred. Knowledge of AP is a must. We’re part of Granite Publications, a family-owned group of 19 community newspapers throughout Texas.
