Andy McCollough did fine work as usual last night for the KC Star. One great tidbit in his gamer, Duda's sidearm throwing motion and tendency to throw high when rushed was stressed in the Royals scouting report going into the series. Hosmer knew what he was doing in that situation forcing the guy to make a play with his season on the line.

 

These unqualified plaudits may have been merited. But they gloss over the fact that Murphy is perhaps the most explicitly and unabashedly anti-gay figure in major league sports today.

I know, right? How do you just ignore that in your NLCS deadline gamer?

 

Murphy needs to be held accountable for all the harm that comes to those LGB kids, and kudos to Slate for taking up the apparently thankless challenge.
