Cards fans can take some solace in this proving they were right all along about Yadier Molina being the MVP.

The Yankees won 114 games in 1998, and 103 in 2009.

And there will be no living with them now.

Note to Cubs fans and those jumping on the bandwagon: YOU HAVE TO WIN EIGHT MORE GAMES. ;)

And Dick, sad to say it, but I'm afraid those craptastic video boards are going nowhere now. Might as well just change the name to Wintrust Park and get it over with. lol

I think the note was supposed to be no 100 win NL team has won a Series since the 86 Mets.

Kershaw was pretty filthy tonight - a performance made even more impressive on three days rest. Mets have to beat Greinke in L.A. to advance. Tough sledding, but it should be a fun Game 5 with deGrom on the hill for the Mets.

Got to tip your cap to Kershaw. Just insane.

    God I hate the Dodgers.

When I saw the camera pan past that fan, my first impression was -there is someone hoping to get famous on the internet- he seemed ready with that expression on his face, waiting for the camera.

    My word.
I still remember watching the days of Moreland in left, Dernier/Walton in center, and Dawson in right.
Cey,Law,Hebner at 3b, Dunston at short, Ryno at 2nd, and Durham/Grace at 1b.
Jody (Jody Davis........the catcher without a fear) at C.......Sutcliffe and Lee Smith.......
    Great memories.

This year is a far cry from those squads (except for 84).

That 84 team was the best Cubs team in my lifetime.

    Until now.
