Running 2015-16 NFL coaching carousel thread

Found this to be fascinating. Never realized Coryell and Levy began as interim coaches. Always figured making an interim permanent was a bad move.

I don't know if this is related, but both Craig Littlepage and Jon Oliver are making the trip to Pittsburgh. Apparently it's the first time in a while they've both gone on a road trip. Maybe they'll Kiffin London at the airport.

 

Once the Butch Jones-punched-a-player story runs to its completion...right around the time Chubb runs for his 4th TD this weekend...look for Chip Kelly-to-UT rumors to explode.

 

I wonder if the increasing possibility Virginia Tech might also be looking for a new coach soon has increased the sense of urgency.

 

Bud Foster is starting to look a helluva lot like Fran Gantner. Should've left while the getting was good.

Maryland seems like a good fit. Much like Oregon, not a lot of tradition or boosters who revel in the old days and want the program run "a certain way." A deep-pocketed apparel donor and a conference that hasn't seen an offense like his before.

 

I'd be stunned if UM ponied up enough to afford him.

 

Maryland? He might as well go back to New Hampshire.

 

Haden has already called Chip's rep to gauge interest in USC should he leave Philly.

 

Tony and Wilbon made fun of this concept on PTI yesterday; certainly an eye-roll of a rumor.

Besides, USC is the leader in the clubhouse for Chip circa 2016.
