Layoffs in Southern Maryland

    Heard there was a bloodbath down there this morning. 17 people gone, but I'm not sure how many are in the newsroom.

    A guy I worked with at The Times posted on his Facebook page that he'd been laid off, though he didn't mention details of the overall mess. That's not a huge paper so 17 is a significant number.
