Advice we can all get a grip on.

    ;)

The lightning-quick bailout of McCarthy from the SOTH race certainly raises suspicions. If they were both clean, as they claim, why not just flatly deny the rumors, bull it through, and quickly shift from defensive mode to playing the victims and go on counterattack?

If either or both resign their seats, the shit's in the fire. You don't do that unless somebody's got something real real bad on you.

This is what is striking me as weird right now. If these accusations are wholey baseless, than why not just dismiss them as such? Why get out so quickly? If is is to "save the party an embarrassing war," the abrupt resignation raises more questions. And the fact it's coming from the right and not the left raises a host more questions.

The best defense in any sexual scandal is always the Vinny Gambini defense, particularly if it's true.

I think McCarthy saying he plans on staying on as House Majority leader kind of renders this discussion moot.

I don't understand the fuss. Is Ellmers a Democrat or something?
