$3.41. Gotta figure in the California/West Coast gouge factor.

It's between $2.98 and $3.10 down here on the Central Gulf Coast. Made a trip up above I-20 earlier this week and saw it as low as $2.90.

Filled up for 2.92 earlier today, lowest it's been in a long while.

Saw an article saying that gas prices going so low wasn't good news because it's probably the sign of a recession.

    Of course it is.

And gas prices going too high is a sign of the end times.

$2.99 at the Gulf station in Kenilworth, NJ. How delusional it is to think that it seems like a bargain.

We were spoiled by stable prices for so long. Gas went to $1 a gallon in 1979 and basically stayed there until 2005, with a few relatively minor spikes and dips. For many of us on here, that's most of our lifetimes.

I'd say we'll never get back there again, but there was that one weird "super dip" a couple of years ago where it went down to $1.39 a gallon here. Only lasted a couple of weeks, but it was awesome while it lasted.

Oh, and it's around $2.90 here in the Gulf states, although I did see it as low as $2.79 driving around town. Pretty wide variance (10-15 cents right now).
