    What's important to note about tonight's game and tomorrow's is that it's a winner-take-all round. So the losers go home.

    Geez, the A's lineup has just three players above .250 and those three are .255, .264 and .279. No wonder they collapsed over the final two months.

    Not a very complete picture of Oakland's offense. The Athletics led the majors in walks with 586, 42 more than any other team, and they were ninth in on-base percentage.

    Hey Yost, that old first-third "saunter off to let the runner score" stops working at age 13 or so.

    .305 with 5 HRs and he is batting third in a playoff game -- this would be something else.

    Cute kid.

    My how times change. Ten years ago she might have been batting cleanup for the Royals.
