Why? Do you underestimate the USA or do you overestimate a completely awful Brazil team that was missing the only two pieces that this team had, Silva and Neymar?

How about 89? Pistons easily sweep Lakers in NBA Finals, Niners blast Broncos 55-10 in Super Bowl, A's easily sweep Giants in World Series.

It seems clear the US wouldn't have lay down like like b----es the way Brazil did after the went down 2-0. There should be something said for actual willingness to fight. Talent is great and all, but you actually have to apply it when you need it.

It seems obvious that Brazil just quit for a stretch after going down 2 or 3-0. Just plain gave up.

    But what about major sports?

Just giving you a hard time, that's an interesting point about the blowouts.

Actually, from the sound of it, they could have had 10 or 11.

How can a team from a soccer power be so bad after losing two players? You would think they would just reload off of the bench like Alabama does when a players gets hurt.

Brazil looked slow and out of shape against the Germans. They also looked like a bunch of players who were experiencing getting their asses handed to them for the first time.

A US team that finished 31 out of 32 in possession?

If Howard doesn't have one of the best performances ever against Belgium the talk is completely different.

Good on the US, they fought hard and would never have quit like Brazil didbut for a team that created next to nothing and spent the majority of the time without the ball they sure are being held in high regard.

Not the team, but the nation might need decades to wash the taste out of its mouth.
