A congressional candidate from Texas floats this far-out idea that comes with more than the 4 questions of Pesach -- carve out 8,000 square miles of terra along the Gulf of Mexico to create a second (New) Israel. But only if Israel concedes by giving back pre-'67 borders.

Yeah, have heard that idea before. It does make some sense in a practical manner. But it will never happen. Traditional Israelis see that as THEIR land and they'd rather die than go someplace else.

As the pre-67 borders are concerned, does anyone know if Jordan has requested Israel return the West Bank to them?

Israel floated, a few years ago, to give Gaza back to Egypt and hand West Bank to Jordan. This was when the demographic concerns began rising. You've heard of the "two-state solution?" This is the "three-state solution" in academic terms. Egypt didn't want Gaza back, and Jordan didn't want West Bank back.

The demographic issue is simple. Palestinians are breeding more than Israels, which are seeing similar demographic declines as first-world Western countries such as U.S. and Europe. This would inherently endanger the nature of the Jewish state.

So it seems breeding is at least part of the problem.

Two minutes after the new Israeli state is established in Texas, the Palestinians would be saying it's their rightful homeland.
