Conferences & Networking Events

    Does anyone know of any upcoming conferences or networking events for sports journalists?
    Preferably in the NY area, but anything would be helpful. I haven't been able to find much. Thanks in advance.

    The two big ones I know about are the APSE and NSSA. There's also the NABJ and AWSM.

    There's really not much happening at the print journalism conferences. There simply aren't very many jobs available, and that's the life's blood of any profession. If I were you I would be looking for digital conferences and networking events to attend. There are tons of meetups in NYC on the digital side. Forging contacts in that space may help you the most.
