    Worked down there right out of college. Didn't know him well, but Nick was a good guy. RIP.

    Worked for him. Grew up reading him. Knew the man very well because he covered me in high school. Gave me my first shot out of college because I was a hometown kid. Eternally grateful to him.

    I know they had a moment of silence for him at the Cowboys-Redskins game on Sunday. He was really well known with all the high school writers around the state, and he was always nice in the press box when I saw him. Covered his final game just a couple of weeks ago.
