Nixon, of course, is the guy who once hand-picked a college football national champion.

I guess this team actually gets together on a fairly regular basis, right?

I just wouldn't pass up a chance to see all my buddies after 40 years -- in a setting like the White House -- because I disagreed politically with the host.

Then you, at the very least, aren't quite as much of an asshole as those guys are.

Yeah, Nixon started the whole idiotic tradition, so you'd think a Dem prez would take glee in killing it.

Tim Thomas wonders what all the fuss is about.

Maybe Langer, Fernandez, Kuechenberg can make amends when the 1973 Dolphins go to the White House.

So stupid. Really, it doesn't get any dumber or more idiotic than this. And that extra period really turns it up a notch.

Is Don Shula going? If I was a Dolphin and my coach thought it was OK to go, I think I'd decide it was OK to go.
Their perfect season becomes more unbearable with each passing season of imperfection.

Gee, Nixon never invited any of the UCLA title teams either.

Who gives a shit either way? If these are really pointless exercises then who gives a damn who visits and who doesn't?
