Rangers are bound for some retirement community down in Florida.

Maybe they could put it back in Madison Square.

Yeah, it's not like the Meadowlands (or whatever corporate name it has now) is exactly bustling with NBA and NHL teams right now.

Ohh, you wanna' rebuild Penn Station. Hmmm, shoulda' maybe thought about that when you tore it down.

This decision creates TWO bonanzas for New York's construction industry and real estate developers -- rebuilding Penn Station, and creating the newest Madison Square Garden. Given the political influence of those businesses, it's a no-brainer for government.
The Garden has had multiple past locations over a century or so. One more's no biggie.

That one of the tabloids didn't use "'23 skidoo" as a headline is disappointing.

In fairness, Weiner and A-Rod have taken all the oxygen out of the tab cover room.

(But that idea was pretty good.)

I thought the Post Office was supposed to become the new Penn Station.

And, while this is Baron and Starman's wet dream, we can all enjoy it because it screws the Dolans.

The shame is that the city ever allowed the old Penn Station to be torn down in '63 to build the whole Penn Plaza monstrosity.

I have a lot of fond memories of the Garden, dating back to sitting in the blue seats for Knicks and Rangers games in the late '60s and early '70s, going to concerts, and later covering events. But at the end of the day, it was just an ugly arena that came to life because of the people inside.

The original Penn Station was a landmark of extraordinary beauty.

The Garden is nearly done with a renovation that runs nearly a $1 billion, then is told to find a new home within 10 years? Hope the remodel was worth it.
    ;D

To a nicer owner, it couldn't have happened.

So once the Garden is gone how long is it going to take to rebuild Penn Station?
