It is so nice to see Chuck Mangione getting so much love. If you were to approach '70s music sabermetrically, and broke it down in terms of absolute quality of each individual song relative to some VORP-like '70s music index, I think "Feels So Good" would rank extremely highly.

But my all-time, change-my-mood-instantly favorite (seems like it has so many multiples more impact if I hear it on the radio than if I play it myself) would be:
"Get Down On It" Kool & The Gang

I have the Mangione album. I've kept all my vinyl, but don't have a record player. Great, great music.
I always thought that "Barbara Ann" by the Beach Boys was just a fun song and it sounds like they were having fun when they played it.
