If loving dirty hippie music is wrong I don't want to be right!

(But this ain't dirty hippie music, this is badass R&B and blues with plenty of gospel and jazz thrown in.)

So, I was kind of bummed on the concert front -- I had Morrissey tickets at a club in Tempe and he postponed it twice, then flat out canceled the show.

This makes up for it. I've been a Cheap Trick fan for 30+ years, but for one reason or another I've never been able to see them live. They just announced a show at a casino about two miles from my house... and I scored second row seats.

I'm as happy as a pig in shit.

Next for me is The Postal Service at Red Rocks, May 30. Should be pretty awesome.

Next: Lewis Black, Hershey Theatre, tomorrow night.

I was proofing our events calendar this afternoon and saw he was appearing. Called my wife, and she called to see if we could get tickets. Second row, middle. I was flummoxed.

Saw the Allmans there years ago. Red Rocks is fantastic.

    EStreetJoe will appreciate this.

Saw the Flatlanders tonight. Small venue, great show.

He's coming out my way in late May ... have heard he's great live. New album coming out, too.

Let us know about the show if you go.

Saw him last summer at an outdoor venue. Outstanding show. Only problem was he was the opening act so he didn't play as long as I was hoping, but I knew that would be the case going in. Highly recommend catching him live.

Last: Devin Townsend Project at the Hawthorne Theater in Portland..Townsend is the former Strapping Young Lad lead singer/guitarist. His DTP stuff is technically also metal, but much different. Great stuff and great live. Check him out.
Next: Rush in late July (unless something else pops up in the meantime).

Mumford & Sons went on sale Friday and sold out GEXA in Dallas in minutes. Flipping resellers. Grrrrrrrrr.
