    University of Alabama athletics beat reporter

    The Tennessee Valley Printing Company Inc., which includes the Decatur (Ala.) Daily and TimesDaily (Florence, Ala.), is looking for an experienced multimedia reporter to cover everything related to University of Alabama athletics.

    This is a highly competitive beat that will be based in Tuscaloosa. Requirements include breaking news on a regular basis, enterprise reporting, blogging and daily beat reporting with a year-round emphasis on Crimson Tide football.

    We’re looking for someone with a minimum of five years of daily newspaper experience, preferably with previous college beat experience. Candidates should have proven reporting, writing and organizational skills and be comfortable shooting photos/video with the ability to post them to the Web.

    Candidates also should be able to handle multiple tasks, have excellent time-management skills and the ability to consistently meet tight deadlines.

    We offer a competitive salary and benefits package, including 401(k), medical insurance, life insurance, paid vacation and more.
