Too bad we can't post pics. This would have been a very appropriate time to post a pic of Wile E Coyote.

    How is that actionable intelligence?

The Twin Towers were first hit in 1993. Was there a time between 1993 and 2001 when al-Queda wasn't determined to strike the U.S.?

May I suggest for the sake of accuracy the phrase "the polls" be replaced by the phrases "some" or "many" polls on this thread? There are many polls, and they contain variations, which wouldn't be statistically significant if the election wasn't so close where minute changes may well determine the outcome. It appears as if we've gone from a very close election Obama led to a very close election Romney leads, but that's about as far as I'd go.

That's why it's important to take them all as data points and not eliminate the ones you don't like.

Today's polling looks pretty mixed, maybe a slight edge to Romney is you don't mind considering the non-swing states for their relative movement. -4 in PA is "good" for Romney in the sense that you'd expect it to be worse, and a good performance in PA usually means a good performance in Ohio and Virginia.

Obama could pull a Rick Perry tonight and the media reaction will be to rave about his "big comeback."

Sometimes - and this includes the reaction to Romney's performance last time - I think the desire for a pre-determind narrative, or, more accurately, alteration of the going narrative, drives these stories more than what actually happened.

That Romney feller is anti-women and he doesn't like any of us on food stamps.

That can't possibly be good news for the Obama campaign.

Assuming HoneyBooBoo's mom drives a minivan, this is an enormously significant development. The theory on here has been that minivan moms who no longer have Oprah to guide them are flipping.
